It's kind of hard to tell from this photo but this child has rolls. We took him to the doctor for his two month check up and he weighed in at 14 pounds 7 oz. which is in the 95th percentile. Keep the rolls comin' Tyler!
Here's a few pictures of Tyler that are some updates on how big he is getting. We took him to his two month check up and he was 14 pounds 7 oz., which was HUGE for me since Andrew was only 8 pnds 15 oz. at that age. That's an extra 5 1/2 pounds that Tyler weighed. That's practically what Andrew weighed when he was born! Sheesh Tyler.
For fathers Day Andrew and Tyler made Daddy cups. Paper drawn on and then inserted into the cup in order to personalize it. Andrew was able to color the paper all by himself but Tyler needed a little help (obviously). Picture #2 is Andrew coloring the paper and picture #3 is a typical 1 year old eating the crayon rather than coloring with the crayon.
Bryan's mother was very kind and made these BEAUTIFUL baby blessing dresses for myself (if I ever have a girl) and my sister (if she ever has a girl). The dresses were made out a the dress that my grandmother was married in about 65 years ago. The material is a beautiful cream satin and the dresses were made to mimic that of the wedding dress, very elegant yet very plain. I love the dresses to death and can't wait until a baby will be blessed in them whether my baby or my children's babies.
In the beginning of June we had Tyler's Baby blessing. It was stake conference so we just held it at church while everyone else in the ward was away at state conference. All but one of the ward members were out of town so we were able to get Brother Balkcom there to help out with the blessing.
This summer we have been swimming just about everyday. Excuse the naked picture but we find no need to get him dressed seeing that it is a constant thing and it takes place in our backyard. If we were to get him dressed all we would be doing all day long is getting him in and out of his swimming suit.
In Andrews room we got him a little chair to sit in while we read him stories at night before bedtime. He loves sitting in his chair and hearing stories. Each night after we get him ready for bed he runs over to his chair and sits in it and can't wait for story time to begin.
While at Sea World Andrew was taking a nap, at least we thought. He was sleeping in his stroller with a blanket over him and all the cousins kept coming up to the stroller to see him. Since he had a blanket covering him we couldn't see him but apparently the cousins could. After a little while and cousin after cousin we thought we would check it out and see what everyone was looking at. Little did we know Andrew had been awake the entire time watching all the exciting things go by.
Back in October we flew to California for a surprise party for Grandpa. I was never able to get the pictures until now so the next group of pictures will be from our trip last October. This is a picture of Andrew when we first entered the gates at Sea World. Andrew was very excited to be there.
When Grandma came out to visit she bought Andrew a little broom. It is his new favorite toy and LOVES to walk around the house sweeping for Mom. What a great little helper!
Andrew loves to touch his head to Tyler's head. We call it "head knocking" and he is only allowed to do it if he is being VERY gentle. It is his favorite thing to do.
While Grandma and Shawn were visiting we went out to dinner on our last night. While at the restaurant Uncle Shawn gave Andrew a lemon. Just like any other kid he didn't know what to think but continued to eat because of everyones reaction.
We had birds build a nest in our wreath on our front porch. Each time we went out the front door the birds would freak out but for some reason never went to go and find a new home. The birds are all grown up now and have learned how to fly so now we just have the parents living in the nest making it a little nicer because they are now not quite so protective.
